The Bournemouth Heart Club helps residents of East Dorset and West Hampshire (and surrounding areas) to recover and maintain their health and fitness after major cardiac events and procedures.
The Heart Club was founded in 1991 and since 1996 has operated from a purpose-built centre, within the grounds of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
The centre houses two gymnasiums, members changing areas and lounges as well as the Club’s Administrative Offices.
The Scope
Bournemouth Heart Club contacted Rejuvenate to conduct a full IT audit for recommendations on their current IT Infrastructure and working practices. They required an isolated network to move them away from the NHS’s infrastructure.
The Solution
Rejuvenate conducted a full audit of Bournemouth Heart Club and found their IT Equipment was at its end of life and to better, work performance, needed replacing. Rejuvenate also installed a new Draytek router to serve the Bournemouth Heart Club building, moving them off of the NHS Network.
To move them away from the internal IT of the NHS, Rejuvenate moved Bournemouth Heart Club over to a full Microsoft 365 solution to give them their own email addresses and online storage facility that also promoted flexible working out of the office.
The Results
Bournemouth Heart Club now have a separate network from the NHS, this allows them to work independently and allows Rejuvenate to fully support their infrastructure. With their new computers throughout the building, Bournemouth Heart Club have seen a significant improvement in their performance and workload.
Due to the effects of Coronavirus Bournemouth Heart Club needed to move over to remote working and online classes. With Bournemouth Heart Club already utilising Microsoft 365, they have been able to make this transition smoothly. To aid the online classes Rejuvenate installed a new Wi-Fi system in the gym to ensure the best possible connection.
