MyFibre is a UK-based company specialising in the development and management of full-fibre broadband networks for both residential and business customers. The Scope
MyFibre came to Rejuvenate IT looking to acheive Cyber Essential Core & Plus. They were using a limited Microsoft 365 tenant provided by GoDaddy that was restricting them from accessing settings and in turn preventing them from implementing the required measures to pass Cyber Essentials.
The Solutions
Following an initial audit, Rejuvenate found that the Microsoft 365 tenant would require defederating and moving away from GoDaddy to remove the restrictions that were in place. This was quickly done, allowing us access to further information within the Microsoft 365 tenant. With passing CE & CE+ in mind, we then recommended that MyFibre migrate to Business Premium and Microsoft 365 F3 licenses so that there devices could be managed within Microsoft Intune and their data could be protected by Microsoft Defender.
Following improving the security of the Microsoft tenant and the MyFibre devices, we were ready to begin the process of acheiving Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. We completed the questionnaire for Cyber Essentials Core on MyFibre’s behalf to simplify the certification process for them. Cyber Essentials Plus required a remote audit with an external auditor to prove that MyFibre met the required standard. With the help of the MyFibre employees, we were able to complete this audit completely remotely.
The Results
With a defederated Microsoft 365 tenant and a number of security features added and configured, Rejuvenate IT have been able to bring the Cyber Security of MyFibre to a much better standard. MyFibre have now passed Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus without issue and can now prove to their customers that they keep their data secure.
